Why use a hosting service when you can make your own? I mainly use virtual private servers (VPS) supplied by Google Cloud Platform. On the VPS i run mainly APACHE (APACI not APASC, please), PHP and MYSQL. I also use NGINX as load balancer, and NODE.JS for my evil scraping projects. I believe that click days (or thousands of user requesting stuff simultaneously) in Sicily are possible, please ask me how >>>.
Web developing
As a web developer my focus is on page speed and up-to-date page style. For better results, I prefer working close to graphic designers, and not scared of them (my girlfriend is a graphic designer), give me a psd, an XD or FIGMA file and will transform it into a website. I prefer to work with my custom CMS cause it allows me to adapt it to client needs, and not the opposite. I'm also familiar with wordpress and related e-commerce plug-in woocommerce. I really appreciate work on Shopify, because of Liquid simplicity.
Web scraping
Web scraping is the art of automatic collect data from the Internet. With the use of powerful javascript scripts and a few proxy servers (why proxy servers? ask me why) you can even scrap a famous social media. By scraping a famous social media (the one with no boomers, for now...) I created the Trapani's restaurants social graph, showing all the connections between users and also niches (you want it? pay).
